HELLO FROM
THE MONTANA AIRSTREAM CLUB
This greeting is brought to you from the Montana Airstream Club, an affiliate of the WALLY BYAM CARAVAN CLUB INTERNATIONAL, (WBCCI).
There is only one unit in Montana and we are spread out all over the state. We get together for rallies in the summer and luncheons in the winter. Some of us are retired and some are still working.
Our first rally of the year is in the spring. Last year it was in Great Falls on June 1 to the 5th. We had 10 trailers and were parked at the Fair Grounds. There were tours planned and other activities plus time to explore the area on your own. This year it will be in Choteau, Montana, from June 2-6. Lots of history, tours, and fun.
Over the Labor Day weekend we have a joint meeting with the Alberta-Saskatchewan Unit, alternating either in Montana or Canada. Last year it was in Cardston , Alberta . At that rally we had 35 to 40 trailers. This rally is a very special time for all of us as we have been meeting for over 40 years and have formed wonderful friendships. This year the Hands Across the Border rally was hosted by the Alberta/Sask. unit and was held in Assinaboia , Sask.
The International rally is held each year on June 27 to July 4th, in different parts of the U.S. Last year it was in Madison, Wisconsin and in 2010 it will be in Gillette , Wyoming. At this rally, we have between 1000 to1500 trailers.
We have
other smaller rallies planned
some week ends thru out the
summer and fall. We are planning
on being in a lot of different
areas to encourage our members
who are in out of the way areas
to join us.
At our rallies and luncheons, we
visit cities in all parts of the
state. Last year we went to
Phillipsburg , Kalispell,
Roscoe, Columbus , Moore ,
Missoula , Dillon, Whitehall and
Willow Creek. Even ventured up
to Hamilton and Wise River , to
visit some of our members in
that area. We try to hit a
variety of spots. As you know
this is a big state with lots to
see.
